Ercol 478 High Double Bow Back Easy Chair

Ercol (478) High Double Bow Back Easy Chair

An unusual window chair that is the Ercolion’s special pride. The double bends shaping of the back allows the chair to cradle a deep cushion, giving all the ease of a wingchair and especially inviting for those who prefer to sit rather upright without sacrificing comfort.
This item was in production between 1962-1985.

Harriet score: 9

Gareth score: 9

Our thoughts: The shallower seat and high seatback make for a more upright sitting position - great for the posture, spine, breathing and digestion. The added seat height is great for those with longer legs and the added back height allows the seat to cradle the head and neck. The arms are a good height and wrap you in their embrace.

Sitting pretty in the 478 High Double Bow Back Easy Chair
