Ercol 477 Low Double Bow Back Easy Chair

Ercol (477) Low Double Bow Back Easy Chair

This generously proportioned easy chair is especially popular with the ladies. Exceptionally comfortable yet very light to move around. The double bend back with its curved and moulded cushions gives wing chair comfort. This item has been in production since 1965.

Gareth score: 7

Our thoughts: The seat is low and rather shallow – this could be alleviated by replacing the 4in seat cushion with a thicker cushion whilst leaving the back cushion thinner. The shallowness can be combated by combining it with a footstool. Great for shorter people. We love the upsweep of the arms which are at a great height for both of us. The back whilst too low to provide head and neck support does provide great back support and the double bows do cradle the body nicely. A great reading/video gaming chair.
